Default Re organizing naps????

OK seriously I am confused

The girls use to nap at the same time...I purposely took A's am nap away so they would have a nice LONG nap together from around 11;30-12 until 2ish.... well A decided that she needed to have her am nap back... so for the past week she has been having 1hr in the morning and I have to wake her and then I try to put her back down at noon when G goes down....

Well Lexie just tossed her bottle out of the crib it hit the wall and knocked down a picture I had resting on the moulding! Woke up G and she is crying!

I *NEED* them to nap at the same time.... does anyone have any time suggestions?....Lexie is needing two naps again I guess.

Can you push G's nap a little later? Then A could take a morning nap and both of them could take a little later afternoon nap? I know my kids usually go down for their nap around 1:30.

No advice on how to coordinate their naps but my G is going through something similar to A. She's never been a great napper (unless she's sleeping on my lap ) but for a while there I could distract her from taking a morning nap and just get her to take a longer afternoon nap. Now she's starting to take a morning nap and won't take an afternoon nap. Ugh. Can you say cranky in the afternoon??

I hope something works out for you soon, Jodi. I think I'm headed for the loony bin.

Default Re: Re organizing naps????

When the twins were taking 2 naps a day their schedule was roughly:

Up for day 6:30-7:00 am

Nap from 10:00 to 11:00 (I usually woke them up - absolutely not later than 11:15)

then they would go down for nap again at 2:00 (Becca too) and they would all sleep until about 4:00 or so. (Again I woke them up alot by 4:15)

Bed at 7:30 - 8:00 for the twins a little later for Becca.

I dropped the twins nap around the same time Becca started preschool, so now all 3 go down for a nap at 1:30 and sleep until about 4:00.

I agree with pp try to push G's nap back a little so that A will still go to sleep and they will be down at the same time.
