Question NYC Trip

My mom (70 yo) is coming to visit next month and in the middle she's going to NYC for 3 or 4 days.
I want make for her some kind of trip thing, with maps, places to go, etc.
I never being there so I have not idea. I so want to go. Any ways. Can you recomend websites, books, places to go, must see places, were to eat?. I'm so nervous she would be alone. I wanted to get her as a present tickets for a Brodway show but she doesn't want to go. Her english is not that good (and again she would be alone in NYC for 4 days) but I think the show will be fantastic anyway. I have the address of the hotel but at home, I don't remember were it is. But suppost to be very well located, close to everything with subway and bus near by.
So what places should she go???
TIA

Default Re: NYC Trip

I've been to NYC many times and I think the best thing for someone new is a Greyline Bus Tour. It costs about $50 for a ticket and it's good for 48 hours. It is a double-decker bus that stops at ALL of the NYC tourist attractions and you can hop on/off at all of them. The guides are great, many are multi-lingual, and they are really helpful about suggesting places to eat, visit, etc. The whole tour is about 4 hours if you ride without getting off - but nobody stays on the whole time. The buses hit each spot about every 20 minutes so you never have to wait long for the next one.
