I'm thinking about getting DH one for his B-day and have NO clue what I should get. I thought I should be a little clued in before I hit Best Buy so they wouldn't see "Sucker" written across my forehead. Thoughts?

We have the nano I think - the one that's the middle size. No video. I got ours there and we love it. But, if I had it to do again, I might go with the regular one for household use (with video) and get the tiny one for working out. One tip - my BIL got three of them from the mac website for refurbs - a big discount, comes with a warranty and he's only had one that had an issue and they replaced it immediately without charge. Something to look into.

I'd go with a nano - I have it and I love it. Ryan has the bigger one with the screen and he really likes it. Hm, I dunno. Maybe you should get the bigger one since he's a dude...

I have the Nano and I recommend it. It stores songs on a flash drive rather than a hard drive, so it takes A LOT to get it to skip.

It really depends on what he wants it to do. Does he want video? Will he want to be able to set up individual playlists?

DH doesn't like the Apple products, because he has this thing against Apple. I really like the iPods and I buy all my music from iTunes. If you're going to use iTunes, the iPod is your best bet.

Outside of the iPod line, the Samsung Pebble is a nice choice as is the iRiver Clix.

You can go to Tech product reviews for cell phones, computers, M and read reviews of different ones. They'll list specs and pros/cons of each.

I got DH for Christmas the iTouch, it is just like the iphone without the phone. You can play music, videos, it holds pictures, can you surf the web (for free in any wi-fi zone). It does everything. He loves it.

wait is the nano the really really little one or the middle one that has the video now. I have the little one with the video and I LOVE IT! its cute, its small and it has a lot of space on it for videos pictures and music. My husband steals it when away for work trips and loaded a couple videos of the girls and pictures too so he can brag and then we have all the songs we could ever want on there and still ahve space.

Love the iTouch. I got one a few months ago and it's awesome. I take it to the gym with me and watch TV shows while working out. Highly recommend it.

I'd go with the Apple Nano. The bad thing about non-Apple MP3s is that they don't work with iTunes. Stick with the Apple brand.
