Yup. Laura & I met him at the airport. He immediately read her shirt, which read, "I'm going to be a Big Sister" and "March 2009." He was like, "really, wow."

Yeah...that's it. Since then he's brought up how old he is...paying for another college tuition...how much work babies are...etc.

I had to flat out ask him last night if he was even a little excited or happy. He said he is...

Kind of a bummer that he doesn't *really* seem to be excited. We always talked about having 2...and that they would have to come close together, or it would just be 1. Today he asked how many months it took, and when I told him 1, he brought up all our birth control options for after this next one.

I'm sure it will just take him a bit to get excited...like when we go in for our first u/s on the 4th. I'm still disappointed though.

Oh no! I am sorry he didn't have a great reaction, I'll bet it won't take him long to get excited though.
Hang in there until he catches up to you. Men take the weight of responsiblity for a new child very seriously, the love part will overwhelm him again soon...

I'm pretty sure he is excited & happy, but guys just immediately focus on their related responsibilities. "That's lovely dear, and now I need to go hunt down and freeze another mastodon for the winter."

I totally think he was in shock-not expecting to see that when he got off of the plane. He'll come around, don't worry. Especially when he sees the u/s.

I agree - I'm sure he was a little shocked and worried (like men do - ala Carol's mastodon reference). But this little baby is going to be loved!!! I'm sure he will come around.
