We have recently (two weeks ago) bought a new camera... Our old one just up and died (To many pics taken) It was 5 years old so that is fine. We loved our camera so much that we just bought the new version... but so much has changed that I just do not like it...

I want some thoughts, and pros and cons about the camera you have.

Have you checked out the Canon Rebel XTi? I can not say enough about that camera. And if you are spending the $$ on the Olympus, it's worth checking out . . .

We did look at it today... and the sales man was telling us that it is not idiot proof (and we need idiot proof) and the Olympus is the same camera for less money....

I have no clue and Jay is on epinions.com right now researching it...I just thought i would ask here too

You can use the XTi in auto mode. It is simple. When you have time, you can mess with the manual settings. I am biased to it because I have owned 3 Canon's and can honestly say I wouldn't buy anything different. If you do look into it, check out buying the body only and buying your lens separate.

I *LOVE* Canon too....

But I thought you needed the lens to actually take pictures?

You do. But the lens that is sold with the XTi is only ok. It will get you by but for the $$, you might as well buy the body and buy a better lens separately.

I have 2. One regular and one zoom.
