Default Laundry Q

I've talked before about how we are having a problem fitting clothes on Poppet. We just bought her some new skirts and cropped pants from Old Navy in a girls size 6 that fit great right now - pre-washing, we've got the adjustable waist pulled in two notches, legs aren't too tight, not too short, etc... My question is, once I wash them, should I not put them in the dryer? It seems kind of funny to not be drying a toddlers clothes, but I'm thinking that is probably what I should do since they are fitting good right now.

Par-dry them (my mother's term). Put them in the dryer for 20 mins or so. So they are mostly dry, but still damp. Hang them, and pull them into their shape and let them dry the rest of the way.

I do this with a lot of my clothes and it works well.

I hang all of our clothes to dry, unless they are play clothes. I know that is why clothes that Luke wore are now on Reed and still look great! I have a cabinet over my washer and dryer and I put up one of those spring loaded shower curtain rods up between it and the wall. That is my space to hang stuff to dry. Works like a charm!

Laundry nazi, I know

So yes, I would hang it up to dry.

Wow, I can't imagine taking the time to do that with all my clothes. I'd be in my laundry room all weekend long!

But what do you do with load #2 when load #1 is still drying???
We have a clothes line too that I used pretty much just for diaper covers/PUL pockets and bras. If I were to hang up the girls clothes they probably wouldn't fit but then the next load would be washed and where would those go?

Yeah, having room for it all. That's a lot of clothes to fit on a line in my house! I am really bad about laundry though. Nothing really gets separated unless it is an obvious item that will dye or bleed on stuff. Load goes in and load goes out. Done.
