Oh yes, I made 64 truffles. I made enough to give a box of 8 to each couple. (Each box contained pairs of truffles with 4 diff. toppings - choc. sprinkles, Christmas-colored non-pareils, toasted coconut, and chopped pecans.) Making the truffles wasn't a big deal ... rolling them in the toppings too FOREVER. From bags of chocolate chips, to rolling them in the toppings, to wrapping them in foil candy papers, to placing them in the boxes, it took me close to 4 hours.
We didn't get anything for the kids. I decided not to brave Target a couple days before Christmas to get gifts for kids I hadn't seen in years and wouldn't see again for another couple of years! Plus, I would've just gotten a "clutter" gift ...
Surprisingly enough, everyone else DID exchange 22 gifts! I was SHOCKED. Everyone else got stuff for the kids. (I still don't feel bad.) The gifts we received were mainly aimed at
DH. (His cousin gave a gift that had both our names on it, but it was a coffee mug that said "father" on it ...
DH also doesn't drink coffee OR tea ...) It was crazy, and it didn't feel "right",
