Well...
Last week I tried to put her to bed without it, cold turkey--mostly to see what would happen. She was all ready for bed and hadn't mentioned it, so I ran with it. Yeah--that went down in flames. She fah-reaked for about an hour, so I finally gave her the damn bottle... anyway, she never really settled that whole night.
So we're taking baby steps... I used to bring her up and give her the bottle in the rocker in her room. So no more bottles upstairs now--she can only have them downstairs. That was even rough for a few nights, but it's better now.
Of course, you might know that she got a cold on Sunday, which is a setback. I think the next step will be to cut the amt of milk in half, then water down til it's water, then bu-bye bottle.
I'm too chicken to go cold turkey again, and
DH is not really on board with taking the bottle away at all. ("it's too hard"). It is a good thing this child is a second child--she'd have been an only if she came first!!
