Default Ideas for DH

I think my husband is getting me a compost tumbler for my birthday
Ok, yes, this is something I want but for my birthday???

He told me there would be a big package coming but also told me he needed another idea for a birthday present.

I gave him the link to the hero jewelry and told him my 2 favorites. Do you guys have bracelets? Because all I see on the site are necklaces.

I need another idea. I'm not sure he'll like the Hero necklace idea and he likes having options so I don't know exactly what I am getting. He just gave me the gc to the spa which he knows I love but he wants me to have actual presents to unwrap.

I have no idea what else to tell him. Any ideas???

How about a clothing store you love or a really great pr of shoes? These are things I would never think to get for myself unprompted.....do you have an electronic organizer already?

A GC to your favorite clothing store is a good idea. If you are like me, you rarely buy yourself clothes. It's fun to have money set aside to buy something just for you!

Hero does have bracelets. Jaye had one on the cruise. So cute!

Do you have an i-Pod? That would be something I would want DH to buy me.

Mommy jewelry is another thing I love.

Yes, Hero does have bracelets! I have one but want the other two to match my other two necklaces. I just e-mailed her and asked about bracelets and she made one for me. She's very sweet and easy to work with.

If you don't know what else to tell him, why get anything else? If there is nothing I need/want, I'd rather just get nothing. Maybe ask for him to make a meal or take over a chore you normally do? But then again, I'd be thrilled with the tumbler!

Because he will get me something else. Either I give him ideas and he gets me something I want or he comes up with his own ideas. Sometimes he does great, sometimes not. I try to help him out though because I am in the same position on his birthday and Christmas, I need ideas. We both want to get each other something the other wants rather than a trip to the return counter. The tumbler will be great but as far as I am concerned that is a gift for the family like a new vacuum or microwave and not really a gift for one person.

Just can't relate, I guess. Even if it is a gift for the whole family, if it isn't something DH would buy unless I really want it, it can be a gift for me. I was thrilled to get a dishwasher for her birthday one year (we didn't have one when we bought the house). But birthdays aren't really big for us anyway. I hope you get something you like!

I understand what you are saying

Birthdays are a big deal here. I had several birthdays as a child that either went nearly unnoticed (not celebrated) or were completely forgotten which made me feel horrible about myself for many years. I mean who's Mother forgets their birthday????

Now that I am an adult I truly treasure my birthday like most kids do. Butterflies, excitement, ice cream, wrapped presents, the whole ball of wax. I'm making up for lost time
