I'll take an ear infection with an ear infection on the side! | | As soon as the ped office closed yesterday, I realized Lucy was getting sick. Fever, watery eyes, holding her ears, telling me she had a boo boo in her mouth, etc. She and I slept about 4 (non-consecutive hours) last night. Molly was out of school most of last week with a cold and cough. So we roll out of bed, hurry to get to school this morning, walk in and it turns out there is no school. Duh. Teacher conferences (more on that later).
So I take Molly to Lucy's ped appt. Lucy has an ear infection and possibly strep although she wouldn't let the doc get a good look. Instead she kept screaming, "I all done! Drive me home!" from the moment they asked her step on the scale, through taking her temp, while listening to her breathing, and checking her ears, etc. Although Molly seems to be doing fine, she mentioned this morning that it hurts when she yawns so I asked the ped to check her ears and her infection is worse than Lucy's!
This is the second ear infection for both of them since January 1st! The cool thing is that I got to see Molly's ear infection and her bulging ear drum. Ewwwww! I have always wanted to look in that little thing so it was pretty neat! |
