For the record, not all mods abused that power. If you are a mod, you have an ethical responsibility to the community to operate as fairly & impartially as possible. I am a mod, and I had no idea what was going on, which I think speaks volumes about how things went down.

Anyway, Sarah, I"m really sorry that you're in a tough spot. I can totally understand that this place is your baby, but there are definitely folks who will not be comfortable participating again after the way business has been conducted here.

Yes. I think you misunderstand my definition of a troll. It has nothing to do with privacy. A troll is someone who does or says something mean to another person while intentionally hiding his/her identity and/or actions. Had DH confronted those he was miffed with, things could have been different.

So, for me the question that begs an answer is......HOW is DH "spying" on other's private thoughts any different from a Mod doing it?! I'm really at a loss here, and trying to understand HOW those who did the snooping have not yet apologized.

I have to say that my DH would have been equally as upset if he had seen his wife's friends talking about her in that way..he would have just "fumed"....
Everybody reacts differently and sometimes we do things that we regret later. That is human nature. We are not perfect. I have done things and said things that I couldn't take back. But we're human!

I hope you and DH can slowly get through this.... it's evident he loves you tremendously. And you are one amazing woman....

I am sorry I ever TRIED to snoop. DH was the ONLY one who had access to the PMs. None of the Mods had that access. Where there times that I looked to see if I did??? Sure. I knew crap was being said about me and I wanted to read it. The only times I checked reputations was when people specifically asked. I don't have the free time to read chat logs or check on who is giving and receiving reputations. It was always last on my priorities unless there were major problems and someone asked. The only time DH got into the PMs is when we got spammed by the Buddhists and he had to fix the spamming and he saw things that he wish he never had that hurt and because he does have ethics in him, he let it go and didn't go back again. This time was more personal and people that he knew I was VERY close to so he acted on his emotions. I can't fault him for that anymore. He feels bad enough.

I can't defend all that he did or all that myself or other mods have done or wanted to do. Everything is already out there as far as I know. I am done sugar coating anything.

I am sorry that this has happened, Sarah. I don't know all the in's and out's, but I feel bad for all involved.

I kinda assumed that the DH would have access to *all* parts of a website he set up, whether is said private or not.

Again, I don't really know all the behind the scenes and what was said so probably should stay out of it!

((Sarah)) After thinking about this more I have to agree that it is unfortunate on all sides. It is hard to read something negative about yourself or someone you love an be impartial, bottom line. Things happen, people get hurt, etc. etc. Looking backward is always 20/20. All we can do is hope to do better in the future and learn from our actions. Does this make everything better? No. Does it start the healing process, no matter how long that takes? Sure. Big hugs!
