Default Help with painting

Any painters our there? I have a couple of rooms to paint and several different colors. Do you use roller sleeves that you just toss when you're done or do you invest some money in them and clean them for the next use? I have a really good trim brush that I've used for years and clean each time. It was worth the investment. Not sure if I'm up for cleaning rollers but the cheap ones seem to make me work harder. Any advice from DIY'ers out there?

I've painted every room in our house with the exception of DD's room (DH painted it). I use Benjamin Moore rollers, brushes and paint. They tend to be a little more expensive but I find they give really good results. Washing the roller sleeves is a pain but if you get one of those metal roller scrapers it makes the job much easier. That being said, I completed all my painting before DD was born. At this stage, if I was to paint, I'd probably just buy the same expensive roller sleeves and just toss them out when I was finished!

Mike does all of our painting (at home and our other property) and buys the good rollers and cleans them. He also says Sherwin Williams has the very best paint.

Good tools make the job a hell of a lot easier!.... I use to buy my stuff from the dollar store not knowing any different... but now we have invested in good brushes and rollers...

I toss the rollers after I am done... but Jay washes them and stores them... (can you say A-NAL????)
