I made the mistake of staying up waaaaay too late last night to watch Michelle Obama's speech. It was a nice speech, it would have been great if it was 8 or 9pm. I thought it was scheduled to start at 10....HA more like 10:55! But then again I'm on EST and the Dem's are trying to capture the West coast voters, so it was perfect timing for everyone on that side of the country.
Anyways, junkie that I am, I think I'll tune into the candidates main addresses and that's it.

I thought Brian Williams and Ann Curry did well last night on NBC. But it started much later than the rest.

Maybe it was just Houston but last night the regular shows were on ABC, NBC, CBS - NO coverage of the convention, at least not in the 9:00 hour.
DH and I watched part of it on CNN but got frustrated because they kept talking right over all the speakers until Hillary got up there. We watched most of her speech. But then had to turn on Jon Stewart - he definitely wins over Hillary

I am a bit confused by the Dem strategy of having Bill Clinton speak tonight. I know he is the last Dem president and all, but he is a fairly polarizing figure, his wife lost, and he doesn't exactly represent "change". He is popular with the Dem base and I guess you can't exactly ignore him, but I still find it an odd choice.

This is totally random and stupid but I thought it was cute.Has anyone else seen that episode of Sesame Street where Anderson Cooper is 'interviewing'a grouch named 'Dan Rather-not'?My dad and E actually watched it together not too long ago.Anyway,My dad ran into Anderson Cooper at the convention and my mom said my dad shook his hand and then said "Say Dan Rather-not'How crazy.He told him he'd seen it with his grand daughter.I thought that was cute.I bet Anderson Cooper thought my dad was nuts.I haven't been watching the convention but hearing all about it from my parents when I talk to them.My mom just went along for the trip aspect of it.She said Denver is great and she's done some fun museum stuff.

Can I just say that my new favorite person from the Dem convention is Biden's mom??? "Go back out there and bloody their nose so you can walk down the street tomorrow." While there she is looking at the people around her, slightly embarrassed, mouthing "It's true, it's true." She was too funny.
