Default All around not good

So, tonight (and last night) DD peed her pants. For no reason whatsoever. And I mean peed like she was standing in a puddle. Both times she easily could have gotten to the bathroom. Tonight she tried to hide it from me. And I am sorry to say I totally lost it. I completely yelled at her and told her I was very disappointed and this was totally unacceptable and I made her clean it up. I am completely at my wit's end with this. She's been having little accidents lately often and then also just not bothering to get up from watching tv or whatever she's doing and will just pee and say "oh, guess we need to change my pants". I know yelling isn't going to make her stop, but she doesn't seem to have any sense that this is not acceptable behavior. I always try to be really understanding, go over what we expect, but that seems to be backfiring because she doesn't think it's a big deal, and really, at almost 4, it is a big deal. Any advice? I'm ready to pull my hair out!

Good point, Carol - there probably is, but it's a complete mystery to me. She was just at the ped, so I don't think it's an infection, although she'd had them before so I did think of that. She said she "forgot" to go to the bathroom????

Hannah was doing that about 8-9 months after N was born. I finally figured out this was her sibling anxiety crisis. We started doing an informal success chart and her reward was going to Auntie's work and having popcorn. I was at the end of my rope too but after we figured out the cause, we could deal with it and she snapped back fairly fast. Hang in there, sweetie.

Molly started doing that a few months after she was completely out of diapers. She was probably between 3.5 and 4. It made me nuts. We did a sticker chart, too, and it stopped things.
