Until the official start of college football season!! I am so stinking excited I can barely stand it!! I am off to dress my kids in black and gold from head to toe. The poor things are forced to be mini mascots four hours every week throughout the fall.

Fridays at work are always casual, (and usually "red" days - anyone who doesn't have an official VetAffairs shirt, wears something else red in honor of the vets and active military), but tomorrow is "football jersey" day. I am triple-dipping - wearing a Rutgers jersey in honor of my alma mater, plus it's red to honor the vets, and it's the number of Ray Rice who was drafted by the Ravens, so the home team gets their due as well. The Ravens first game is tonight, so the Metro was more crowded going into the city at 5pm than going out of the city.
ETA: mistake on my part - it was the last pre-season game, not the first "real" game, but Ray Rice got 37 yards
