Well, I thought I had it made using velcro on my cushions for the screened porch and I'm finding out that humidity keeps the sticky stuff from sticking to the fabric. You sew one side of the velcro and just stick the other side. Crap, now what? It's super sticky so sewing doesn't look easy. The thread will get sticky. I pray that zippers are not my only option. Any suggestions?
You could buy velcro that doesn't stick...They also sell tape with snaps on it if you wanted something other than velcro to sew in.
Do you think the sticky stuff would stick if you brought it out of the humidity while applying it (maybe do it after you turn your air on?) and used an iron to press it a bit?

I applied it last week. Had a party of the weekend and it was fine. Then the weather hit yesterday and I looked and saw it unstuck.
Jackie - try getting the non sticky type and sewing it on. If you don't want to sew it on, try ironing it on with fusable interfacing first... I don't know if that will work with your humity, but I assume it might. thought I don't know how strong it will be either! You can do this without zippers
