Default Fabric.

I finally found a fabric for a dress for Katie that I love: Amy Butler Lotus Wall Flower Pink - Discount Desig
My problem? The dress needs a coordinating fabric in a solid color for the front. Everytime I find a fabric I like I cannot find a fabric in a solid that perfectly matches. I want a solid pink to go with this, anyone have any ideas on how I can find a perfectly matching pink? Or even a similar patterned fabric with a perfectly matching pink solid?
Thanks!
Suzy

No suggestions for finding the pink, sorry.

But, I think that would be adorable with an ivory solid. Even an eyelet in a similar pattern in ivory over regular plain ivory fabric if you could make that work with the pattern.

Gorgeous. I Amy Butler fabrics.

That is really pretty. No suggestions for a pink, but along the lines of what Ally said (I really like her eyelet suggestion), maybe another color? To me, it's crying out for a teal/turqoise complementary fabric. Oooh, maybe this:

Amy Butler Lotus Full Moon Polka Dot Slate - Disco

Love Amy Butler fabrics. AB doesn't produce any solids that I know of to coordinate with her fabrics - boo! What I'd do is order the pink and then once it arrives take it to a local quilt store and try to match it there - most of them have a pretty good selection of solids that should get you pretty close.

Lotus is one of AB's older lines of fabric - I do think there was a pink polka dot as part of the line that would match, but I'm not having much luck finding it at my usual haunts. I'll keep looking.

I think it'd be adorable with ivory too if the pink doesn't work out for you.

This is what I'd do as well. I wouldn't try ordering a matching pink online since color can vary A LOT on a computer screen.

I agree with this as well. Ivory would also be easier to match than the pink.

Amy Butler

I suggest that you call the company and ask for the rep for your area. She should be able to tell you where you can get the coordinating solid
