Default Would you call the OB?

For about 1 1/2 weeks I've been having strong cramps. They get much worse if I'm on my feet or when I pickk up DD (who is only 25 pounds). I don't even have to be doing anything strenuous-just washing dishes or something and I have to go lay down. From what I've read this is common and not bad unless you are bleeding. I called the OB last week and the nurse said if it didn't go away in a few days to call back. Today they are really strong-coming and going, but no bleeding. I'm trying not to worry or be dramatic, but this is odd. Do you think I should call? They'll probably want me to come in and then everything will be okay and they'll tell me not to worry so much.

I can't remember how far along you are, but I would say that if you are worried, you should call. And if it turns out to be nothing- GOOD! And if they tell you to stop worrying...tell them to go do something to themselves.

You are right, but call just to have them check you and say that! Especially if it feels different than with DD#1. Better safe than sorry (or worrying about it).

I think you should call. It wouldn't hurt to get checked out. Let us know how it goes. I'll be thinking of you.

I'm just reading your post. Iwould definatly call too, but I tend to worry and err on the side of caution. I get cramps, sometimes they are gas, sometimes they are from the baby growing, I know I have had them often this pregnancy. Also early on I had cramping on just one side and it was a small cyst. It doesn't cause any complications and they are in fact common during pregnancy due to serge in hormones but it went away early and I was happy. I've also spotted during thsi pregnancy and I never did with my previous pregnacy with DD. They say its jsut from strain (I pick of my kid a lot, but with a toddler how do you not od that???). And its just a different pregnancy. But for me I'm not calm about it until I get real answers and an ealy u/s will give you those answers hopefully.
