| TTC ? | | I remember when we were ttc with Will, I'd read that you shouldn't have sex everyday - it should be everyday so that the boys can sort of regroup. Have y'all heard that? It's what we did, and it apparently worked. However, I just read something that says every other day, then after your tenth day of your cycle to go for it everyday. Hm, gotta love all the contradicting info out there. |

| Re: TTC ? | | Dawn,
I think there is soooo much contradiction, that it depends on what you want to believe! We did the whole every other day and then go for it after the 10th day....Poor DH was feeling like a work horse after 16 months of trying with DS#2!!!
You will hear the temperature, ovulation kits and everything in between. Do what works for your schedule and do not let anyone tell you you are doing it wrong. Your stress level is the most important factor, I truly believe!
Have fun! |

| Re: TTC ? | | Oh yeah, I'm definitely not ready to start temping and all that stuff yet. This is only month two and it's still fun! Heck, I'm enjoying this time with DH - it's been great. I know the second it becomes work it can get more stressful, which of course affects hormones and all sorts of stuff.
I think if I don't get pregnant this month, we'll try the ovulation sticks next month. So we'll see... |

| Re: TTC ? | | Dawn, be very cautious about "trying". This is just my two cents, but I don't think you should start temping or OPKs until after 6 months. I've been trying for nearly 4 years. The minute you add the stress it kills the mood. Just enjoy it for now.
As for the having sex everyday vs everyother day, there is no concrete proof. According to my reporductive endo., sex every 2-5 days is best no matter where are in your cycle. You are almost sure to have some swimmers when you ovulate. |

| Re: TTC ? | | DH and I refused to have sex according to any schedule. We had sex when we wanted, and that's what kept it enjoyable. DH and I did it everyday, multiple times a day, or we'd go 2-3 days without doing it. I refused to make it a chore, so we did it when we wanted ... I didn't want DH to feel like a sperm donor. We even did it in TTC "no-no" positions.
I started temping the minute we started TTC, but it was because I wasn't sure that I was ovulating. I have had cycle problems in the past ... I went 6 months without having a period for, seemingly, no reason. So, before I spent money on doctors and their tests, I decided to temp. Much cheaper.
Best of luck to you, Dawn!! I am hoping this month is your month!! We're certainly having a spring boom here at SMS!

| Re: TTC ? | | You know, we had NO trouble getting pregnant with Miss Isabella - first month was a charm - but I really wasn't as knowledgeable as I could have been about my body. So, Kim (Sparqi) was nice enough to send me her TCOYF book when she was done. I am so glad I read it. How all us ladies can go through life without knowing some of these things is just crazy!
Anyway, I figured I would start charting to free us up with our use of condoms (why bother on definitely non-fertile days?) But, it turned out to be SO effective for when we did TTC. I mean, seriously, woke up one morning -- saw a huge temp drop along with the "egg-white" and I knew that day was the big O-day. And there you have it -- hit the hole in one. |

| Re: TTC ? | | Well... we did it every other day and then we did a big marathon and that was the time I got pregnant. So who knows. If sperm count could be any sort of an issue then that is when I read that everyother day is the better option. I figure it happens when it happens. I did temp right away this time mainly b/c I wanted to know how my body worked and etc and I really enjoyed it. It was nice to see, but its not totally necessary. |

| Re: TTC ? | | We were tired of trying to "time it" just right, and DH wanted to try it his way for a month - so every day it was! After 13 months of trying, it worked...
Let me tell you though, every day is a CHORE (and I love sex). It was more like "time to make the donuts," but hey, it worked...and DH was proud! |
