Why in the name of Pete do they need to take seven viles of blood for my prenatal blood work?! I have been feeling crapy since I got back from my appointment. Thank goodness my boss (who BTW I share an office with) took the afternoon off. I have just been sitting at my desk practically comatose sipping on a pop to get my sugar back up.
LOL, and it's the BIG vials, too! When I got that done, DH came with me. His eyes got wider with every vial she pulled out, and he asked her if there was going to be any blood left in me.
I am fully expecting to be puking my guts out for the next two days. That is what happened with DD. To make it worse I have to have another blood test next week for our life insurance company. Come to think of it, I think I will starte taking my iron supplements this weekend.
did they test you for syphillis? That was in the panel of my blood work. I have to laugh at that one.
That was included in mine, along with HIV and gonorrhea. Though the gonorrhea and syphillis tests were cultures, not blood. HIV was a blood test ... though they took 8 vials of blood, so I don't know what else they tested/checked for, but it's been done!!
