| Re: Pregnancy diet | | no answers here, but just wanted to say it's so wierd, I hardly ever eat eggs and I am craving 3 minute eggs for breakfast all the time. I know have them several times a week, and I used to never eat them. I think salmon is good for you, but it's always good for you no? and I feel like I should be eating some spinach lately. I had some at a restaurant the other night, it was sooooo good! Sorry morgan, your question turned into a "what foods is julie eating" response. |

| Re: Pregnancy diet | | I followed the Bradley Method Diet for the most part. If you Google Blue Ribbon Diet you'll find info but I didn't do as much dairy as they recommend.
PLENTY of protein - at least 60 grams per day and Natural Birth The Bradley Way has a protein count of each food.
Plenty of green leafy's to fight of anemia and stay away from sugar as much as you can. I would have a small amount of fruit but refined sugar was VERY rare - I think twice with KA, more often with Avery and less than 5 times with Lilia.
Eggs are great because you can make them many ways and they are a great source of protein
Make sure your salmon is free range it has been found to have mercury. |

| Re: Pregnancy diet | | I did the Bradley/Brewer diet. Lots of eggs, lots of milk. Ironically, Katie was allergic to eggs and milk for her first two years.
I followed it loosely with Andrew. It is good to feel like you are being proactive about food in pregnancy but don't beat yourself up if you fall short of your goals!

| Re: Pregnancy diet | | Just eat healthy in general.Like Keri said, there are some things like certain fish that should be limited or avoided but most of the time, you can find that info online.Lots of water and if you have a treat every now and then, that doesn't hurt either |

| Re: Pregnancy diet | | What Keri said. I had a lot of trouble getting enough protein when I was pregnant (strong aversions to nuts and meat) so I ended up with eggs and cheese as a staple. I couldn't get enough salad, dark greens, and citrus fruit. Just do your best to eat as healthy as possible. |

| Re: Pregnancy diet | | Some studies have shown lots of vitamin C can strengthen the amniotic sack so for people with a history of their water breaking early this is something to consider.
I also took Emergen'C just about every single day and drank Red Raspberry Leaf tea from 12 weeks on. I would HIGHLY recommend it! |

| Re: Pregnancy diet | | For the most part, I was craving meat and cheese and fruit with both kids, so I didn't have much of a problem naturally getting extra of those things. I did make an effort to eat more nutrient-rich veggies, drink milk, and drink even more water than usual. |
