Did anyone go into labor and just not have one? I didn't with Hannah but I was very very ignorant about labor and totally trusted the nurses and doctors and didn't fight anything they pushed on me or the baby. With Steven we had things laid out and a nice plan but because things change so fast, it didn't seem to matter. I am hoping at this point DH and I can play it by ear depending on how things go with me and the baby and just advocate for ourselves as we need to. With him being involved in building this website and all the research we put into our u/s business way back when, he is pretty knowledgeable now about this stuff.

What do you think?! Can we do it?

We had a BP with G but A was a planned c-section so that was my plan (heheh)

Sure.

I was like you. I had no plan with Luke. With Jack I was totally prepared, but it all went so fast, it really didn't matter.

This time I decided to roll with it and it actually turned out better. When I got to the hospital, I told them I wanted a natural birth, no IV, nada and they were fine with it.

I am not too worried about most of the stuff after the baby is born (eye goop, when to cut the cord, etc). If that is important to you, you might want to fill one out. Otherwise, I think you will be fine without it.

I didn't have one with Spencer, but I did with Anna. But honestly, I'm not sure anyone even looked at it when I had Anna. Of course, I had my doula there so she kind of was my birth plan enforcer and since I had a replacement doula because mine had an emergency it was good for her to see what I wanted. But if you plan on just going with the status quo then I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm anal...I had one and I might again depending on if I go hospital or birth center...

I did, but it didn't matter. I was high risk and then indouced. I think you can do it with DH. I wouldn't worry too much. You're an old pro.
