| Re: No.More.Water. | | I know what you mean Kim. I try to keep a big bottle on my desk and power through it all day.
Funny though, when I was preggo with Jack, I was really diligent about drinking water. I was so bloated. My feet were getting puffy. I was telling the Dr about it and she asked how much water I was drinking. Turns out I was drinking too much. I didn't even think that was possible! So yes, I think you should drink water but don't force yourself and over do it like I did! |

| Re: No.More.Water. | | Kim, I could not drink water for about the first 6 months with all of my pregnancies. The taste, the thought of it would send me running to the bathroom for sure. I drank . . . now get your sighs and gasps out . . . Coke. That was all I could stomach.
Try to find what works for you. My taste for water came back after I was over the sickness which was around 5-6 months. |

| Re: No.More.Water. | | how about some fizzy water? Like I know there are flavored fizzy water with little to no sugar or sweetner, I didnt' care for it but DH loved it. And I like flavoring my water too, cucumber is great in it and so is about any fruit like limes or oranges or I know at a spa once they even had an apple or omething weird liekt hat. But I am a big cucumber person right now, but I always love spa water b/c they flavor it up with stuff liek that. |

| Re: No.More.Water. | | And here I am, in direct opposition, I am drinking water CONSTANTLY! I have been wanting nothing but ice water for weeks now. Lots and lots of ice and lots and lots of glasses of it!
Of course, I'm in the bathroom all the time to show for it!
Oh, and shockingly enough -- I've had no interest in soda for the past couple months. And man, I love my Dt. Dr. Pepper...but lately just no interest! |

Lots and lots of ice and lots and lots of glasses of it! | That's how I was about 2-3 weeks ago. I could NOT get enough water. I drank way over the recommended 100oz/day - WAY over.
My nausea has actually gotten WORSE over the past couple weeks, so I've been drinking my fair share of soda. Ginger Ale, Diet Coke, 7-Up, you name it - anything to settle my tummy.
I thought the second trimester was supposed to be the most fun? |

| Re: No.More.Water. | | It will be -- when you get there -- you still have another week and half until the 2nd trimester (starts at 14 weeks). And even then, it may take a week or so to start feeling "normal" again! |

| Re: No.More.Water. | | Give Ginger Beer a try (make sure it has ginger in it not just flavoring) - it's non-alcohalic and the the ginger in it helps settle the tummy. But what I've found is that people either love it or hate it - it is a strong flavor. |

| Re: No.More.Water. | | I was going to suggest Propel too. They have lemon (my favorite). The thing I like about it is it is just a touch of flavor, not all syrupy like juices are. I'd try one to see if you like it. It also has some vitamins in it, so it does double duty. Also, you could brew some decaf iced tea. I drink a lot of that, and then you could either not sweeten it, or do so to your taste. |
