I know you said you can't do sweet, but how about Gatorade? Maybe if you find the right flavor, the sweetness won't be such an issue. Like perhaps lemon lime? In both pregnancies (so with two different doctors) at some point I was put on a "drink as much Gatorade as you can stand" diet and at the time I found it much easier to get down that so much water.

Kim, when I was pregnant with my son, I COULD NOT STAND to drink ANYTHING........ water, gross, juice, gross, you name it GROSS! The only thing I could drink?

Non-Alcoholic Beer! (may not be what you had in mind!!)

I drank very little of it but it was the only thing that I could stomach and that kept me hydrated. That's when I knew I was having a boy

I wasn't a water drinker in my first two pregnancies either so I know it can be hard. I agree to try to eat foods high in water. Watermelon would be great as well as apples, cantelope etc. Have you tried water at different temperatures? I know that sounds silly but I can't drink ice cold water mine has to be closer to room temperature.
You may also want to look into Red Raspberry leaf tea. Do a search online for it. It is GREAT during pregnancy and afterwards and you just might like it.

Good luck!
Definately look into the red raspberry leaf tea. I am not a tea person and I lived on that while pg. It was wonderful. I also drink my water closer to room temp. It just worked better for me at that temp while pg and now I just like it that way.

I was th esame as Dawn..WATERMELON! It's great for hydration. Alsol, how about selzer with lemon, lime or even cucumber? Like spa water. I used to make up a pitcher for the day and it was GREAT. Also, you can also try homemade popsicles.

I had another thought - Vitamin Water.
I cannot stand Gatorade and it has SO much sugar and tends to be too syrupy for me.
Have you tried Vitamin Water or Propel?

Oops - just noticed you don't like flavored water. Sorry.

I haven't tried Vitamin Water, but I'll pick up a bottle to see how it goes. If they have a lemon/lime flavor, that's ok. I just can't do berries or whatever.

Water with oranges and cucumbers in it? Yummy. I love water. I drink it all day long and I still couldn't get enough in me when pregnant. It is essential as Jodi said and you really need to get your fluids.

I second Sarah's suggestion of cucumber slices in your water- it sounds weird, but is super yummy and a very different flavor than a fruity beverage that doesn't seem to be up your ally. I also like the Vitamin water and flavored unsweetened seltzers. I can usually go through a lot of plain water in a say, but every now and then I hit a slump and can't choke it down, so I know that feeling- good luck finding something you can stomach!

I was EXACTLY like that when I was pregnant. The thought of chugging water made me gag. I drank a lot of weak iced tea and (THE HORROR) Decaf Diet Coke. That was about all I could handle. I feel your pain!
