Ryan and I got invited to speak at a black tie gala for Will's school in early May. That's right - early May - just weeks before my due date. So, I need something smashing to wear. When I do black tie, I like to go formal - floor length, glamorous, etc. Help me find a dress ladies!!!

Want one of mine? I have a dress I wore to the Emmys - check my profile photo. It's red and gorgeous! It's not technically a maternity dress, but because of the cut, it works well if you're not too bid still at that point. You could give it a try!

I have a long black gown that I wore to the Bloomberg after party of the White House Correspondent's dinner last year... it is a pretty basic black crepe dress with no embellishments, but you are welcome to it.

But let me look around online, too!

If I go new, I'd definitely not want to spend more than $300/400 - and that's the high end. And I totally don't mind trying to find non-mat dresses that work!

I'm 5'6" but I was wearing like 2" heels - so if you wore flats it would work. OR... I am completely open to giving it to you and having you cut it off to whatever length you would like - cocktail or whatever - if it was too short as a long dress. You could always TRY it and send it back if it doesn't work.

Wow Ailleen this looks like it was cut for a pregnant belly, how great it worked for you and it wasn't maternity. Pretty color too!

Dawn, maybe you can find a "non-pregnant" empire-waist dress. That's the style right now. And you're not that big so it'll look great on you. Think Jessica Alba at the Oscars???
