Default Breast Pump Q

Okay, I had the Advent Isis last time and I loaned to a girl that has like no money and really needed a pump and I'm not about to ask for it back b/c I know she needs it AND my good friend has a PIS that she only very briefly used with her second and is going to give it to me YEAH! But I have absolutly no clue as to what I need to buy for it. Like do I need all new tubing, I didn't think I did b/c I thought those stayed sterile so what do you suggest so I can add it to my amazon list.

I don't think you will need new tubing...it doesn't touch the milk. Just boil hers for a few minutes if you want to make sure it's "sterile."

I would get new breast sheilds, adapters, "membranes", and maybe bottles if you want to replace the things that touched either her or the milk. The first item on this page (scroll down) would include all of those parts except the bottles obviously:

Medela Breast Pump Replacement Parts

(I was just researching where to buy these things because I'm selling my pump to someone in my playgroup, so I had the link all ready to go!)

You can buy most of the parts at Target. I loaned my PIS to my cousin. She got new shields and those came with the membranes. She boiled my tubing and is using the disposable bags for collection.

If you ask them to show you how to pump at the hospital, they will bring in all new tubes, horns, etc. -- which you can then take home! So, when I got my PIS used, I just used those steaming bags and my new tubing set from the hospital. No purchases required!
