I'm not alone!! I'm not alone. High-five!
Yep, that's the one. If you can run 8, you can run 13.1.

And as for plodding ... on the treadmill I always run between 5 & 5.5 mph. I have no desire (or ability - who am I kidding?) to run any faster. Every now and then I'll set it at 6 mph for a minute or 2 and then change my mind.

Kat, whatever you do, get GOOD shoes. Go to a running store and get fitted. I drop bucks on my shoes and I use 2 pairs and rotate.

As my Ironman GF says: when you run, it's not if you'll get an injury, it's when, so you should make sure your shoes are not the reason.

Lots of runners here!

I ran on the beach with my BFF when she was visiting from London and we had our girls' weekend in Carmel. It was so fun to run with a buddy.

I will take a virtual one, though.

I love my Nike's. I run with a group of 4 other girls, and it really does help me stay motivated. I like to still run on my own, but they help me when I'm not feeling it.

Default Re: Running?

I used to run. I am so out of shape but know I have to get my butt in gear once my neck is better since the whole thing stems from bad posture and a weak back.

I used to run 5 miles a day about 5 or 6 days a week but never did any races. My dean does lots of 5Ks and mini marathons so I told her once I work up to it I would join her.

My plan is to jump back on the treadmill once I am better and until it cools off enough outside to run on the track at the high school. E is really good about motivating me and helping me with other exercises.

For shoes, I am loving my new Mizuno's -- they are seamless on the inside which is very nice, and very light weight. I'm a convert from Nike's.

I had asics, loved them. I am going to look this weekend.
Also - the ad was in the new SHAPE mag, and it was for Lady FootLocker!
