Better than nothing, right?

I had actually talked myself out of working out today but then saw a window of opportunity and took it. I left the girls with the boys and went to the gym around 4:30 this afternoon. I got to weigh myself and then hop on the eliptical before my pager went off.
When I went to go pick her up the girl said "What's wrong with her?" and I said "She's just not used to being away from her Mama" of course the girl looked at me like I was weird. "Well, maybe next time you'll leave a bottle." "We don't do bottles" I think she was really confused

Tomorrow is another day. I'll try to get there earlier maybe after lunch and see how that goes.

11 minutes 47 seconds totally counts. It's about 11 minutes and 47 seconds more exercise than I've done today.

I swear every night after Christine goes to bed (about 630pm) that I am going walking I just have yet to do it...

I think it's possible I burned more calories getting ready for the gym wiggling into my sports bra and bike shorts (with shorts and t-shirt over of course)

Oh, they know that I want them to call me as soon as she gets upset. I mean if she cries for 30 seconds right after I leave that's ok but any more than that and I want to be paged.

I am hoping that if I pick a different time of day and it becomes more familiar for her she will get better. If not I'll have to work out when DH gets home (on the nights he's in town) and find something to do during the day on the nights he won't be home.

Sounds like my experience with M when we used to go. The longest workout I ever got in was about 25 minutes. What I ended up doing was heading to the gym right when DH got home from work. He'd take M and make dinner. I'd get home, we'd eat together and he'd head to the gym.

Not an ideal situation since we didn't get a lot of time together at night. But it did get both our cabooses to the gym.

Getting there is definitely the main battle for me so I say -- way to go!

And aren't people hilarious? I was just telling my child-less cousin last night about how I simply could not fathom leaving Isabella when she was 5 months old and I had to go into work to deal with paperwork. I went in there for 1/2 a day and I was climbing the walls to get back to her -- even though she was with DH. Hell, she was 5 months and didn't take a bottle, I knew my girl needed me!!! My cousin was...trying to be understanding but obviously thought I was a little weird. I told her, believe me, I didn't know that would happen to me when I had a baby!
