My son's teacher has a behavior chart for the class. They get a sticker for proper behavior, they get an X for doing something they're not supposed to. At the end of 2 weeks, they get a little treat (eraser, top, etc.)

I just got a call from DH and Bubbs, and Bubbs got an X today. His first X. From what I understand, it is for hitting a boy who was is in spot in the line up for the end of the day. He told me he got an "automatic X".

I remember his teacher saying that if they get 1 X, they have the chance to cover it up when their behavior improves. I'm not sure if it applies if the X was earned when hitting another child.

He is upset by it. We took away his computer privledges for the day (he usually plays for 20 mins or so). He tried to twist the story around, but did come clean.

I hope he learns his lesson and NEVER does this again.

Ah, the power of the red X! Bean had to "pull a card" once... never happened again I'm sure your sweet boy will be the same way

Bubbs is a good boy. Spencer has gotten "red" more than a couple of times

Aw. Total bummer. I think Finn is right...I think that will be his last, if not for the rest of the year, for a good, long, while.

We have to remember, they are still little kids!

Was it a full moon? LIttle Mr had to go to the principal's office today for cracking a little girl in the head with a block at the block center and making her bleed

Hopefully your guy will be back on track tomorrow.

OH man. It only took one trip to the principal's office in Kindergarten (year one.. ) for me to figure out I didn't want to do that one again! My dad promised not to tell my mom since i still swear to this day it was the other girl's fault. Damn Charity!!
