Has anyone ever been to one?

My GF had her DD's there and said the girls loved it. I'm thinking of planning Maribelle's there for a Friday evening, provided they allow me to bring in pizzas or something for the girls to snack on other than cake. I figure that way a whole Saturday isn't gone because of a 2 hour party in the middle of the day. Good idea?

We get to pick a craft for them to do. She'll probably invite about 10-12 girls. They do the craft, have cake and presents and get to take their project home. I might do some type of favor as well.

My niece went to one at a local store kind of like Michaels, and she loved it. The only down side was the area for the party was a little small for the number of kids, but I think if you've checked out the area and it will accommodate friends (and families there to pick up their kids), then go for it. My niece wants her 6th birthday party at Lowe's in a few weeks- they do kids building crafts and she's totally excited about building valentine's boxes. I think a building/crafting activity is perfect for this age group!

Michaels and Lowes are awesome ideas for birthday parties. I am going to have to file those away for future use!

We had Ash's party on a Friday night this year and it was well attended. I know I would love to come and poke around Michaels while my children were at a birthday party in an enclosed area within the store under adult supervision... sounds like an exciting Friday night in my world!! Maybe sell it to the moms like that?

I would love to have a Friday night party, but my family has to come from out of town and can't leave until my mom's gets off of school on Fridays I say go for the Friday night, then you have all weekend to recuperate!

I am a HUGE fan of Friday night activities. Saturdays seems to be packed with odds and ends that have to get done. Dashing off to parties seem to get in the way, though we all do it. I don't know about you girls, but I can't remember the last time I had a great Friday night planned, can you? I would love for RS to get an invite for a Friday night over a Saturday afternoon.
