There will be no choice in my car -- Subarus are notorious for having too small a back seat for good carseat placement (not possible to get 3 in there at all). So, Isabella (who is forward facing) will be behind the driver...while the baby will be behind the passenger (and the passenger will have little to no legroom).
I know what you mean. I love my Forester (I had a sunfire before that and I couldn't put the handle on the infant seat up before taking it out of the car (not enough clearance on the door) but we'll have to get rid of it before #3 (yup Jodi...Alison and I are both crazy ) and I hate to b/c I love it so much but there is just no way to get 3 car seats in there.
We have 3 rows at first K was in the way back, A was right behind me and L is in the middle of the second row - actually her seat moves really far forward which is great! Now both of the bigger girs are in the back because A is in a booster seat. L is still in the middle and B usually sits behind me and C sits in the front seat unless DH is with us of course.
ETA: In the loaner Highlander Lilia is behind me and it drives me crazy not to be able to see her and hand her a toy.
In the Corolla they are split, N is behind the driver, H behind the passenger. I know N will be excited to turn around in a couple of months as he is always trying to see what's going on. He'll stay behind the driver as it's
"too squeezy" for Sassy's legs.
