Still three weeks of planning ahead is amazing!
We don´t plan ahead here...I usually have three days worth of protein foods in my fridge along with salad stuff and I play it by mood each day. I usually cook after Ody is asleep. I also always have rice and beans and bulgur and pasta in storage but
DH is pretty happy with just his protein and greens. A typical menu is pork tenderloin (with salad and perhaps a side), grilled chicken breasts (with salad), sometimes chili, mango chicken curry, caesar salad with chicken, sometimes beef fillet and gnocci and in between I might pick up a ready grilled whole chicken, or order kebobs. Occasionally we might order chinese or burgers or pizza but the latter is usually on the weekends which is when
DH carbs out.
In general I play it by ear and also if I dont feel like cooking or haven´t had the time to cook I tell
DH we´re ordering out.
I´m at the grocery store almost every other day, needless to say...
