Bring on the tips mama to make this house sparkling clean! I did so much last week but have so much more to do and it got put on hold with the kids being sick. Curtains, walls, organizing...what "tools," cleaning products and strategies do you use???
I do a list room by room of what needs to be done. I start from the top down. Ceiling fan, wall, window treatments, windows, base molding, carpets, etc. I clean that way too. If anything falls, it won't go on a clean surface. I usually take a weekend in April or May and send Bubbs away and then DH and I (at least I try to get Dh to help) do it all. I like to have the windows opened, so we have a wait a few months here.
My only strategy is to hit one room at a time - top to bottom before I move on to the next room. Otherwise, I'll have stuff half done all over the house and never finish anything.
I have no set strategy, although I SHOULD....I do the 12minutestogo.com program and also try to open the windows fully blast whenever it's SLIGHTLY warm enough to air out the house and get the musty indoor smell out.....
This year, we are going to attempt a Spring Cleaning weekend with my SIL....she takes our kids one day, we take hers the next to do some serious work....clean out and indoors.....etc...
So I totally did not need the guilt of not getting around to spring cleaning... well, ever. I am lucky to do my regular cleaning let alone a good deep cleaning done. So I am going to conveniently forget that this thread even exists.

I haven't done any spring cleaning or finished any fall cleaning since we moved into our house. I so need to scrub this entire house. My nesting instincts are in full bloom, so I'm hoping that'll help me with my follow through. I bought the Real Simple Cleaning book to make sure I clean things I wouldn't have normally thought of. I can't wait for a warm day so I can throw open the windows and get the funk out.

I don't even want to think about people rifling through my drawers. I already have nightmares of being sued when someone opens one of my closets and everything comes falling out on top of them.
Hmmm... maybe that explains why we don't have an offer yet. Note to self - clean out closets and drawers.
