| Re: Excellent cake website | | OMG, I am in love. I would really love to make a cake like the simpler ones for Anna's first birthday. I think I could manage the basic cake just fine, but how do you think they do the little stars that stand up. Is that just marzipan or gumpaste on wire? |

Here is what I found Regarding the shooting stars, you can use floral wire. When you purchase it, the higher the number of guage, the thinner the wire. The thinner the wire, the more "bounce" or "give" you will have. Cut the stars out of fondant, insert the wires up through the fondant, and put the wire in some kind of styrofoam to dry. |

ETA: I haven't thought of Denville in years, but when I was a little kid, we lived in Morristown, and my mother was addicted to a tiny fabric store in Denville. |
