Ribbon Rag Wreath - Garnet Hill

And if so, how? Think I can get away with a yard or two of fabric and a few spools of ribbon? What do you think the core is? Wire?

Sure you can!

I would start with one of these
Wire Wreaths Box Style Frames- Many Sizes

Then get a couple yards of fabric
Get a couple of spools of ribbon (I would get it from Costco. 100 yards for $7.99)

Cut and tie away!

I'd try it! It's not very labor intensive and the supplie aren't too expensive so if it doesn't look so hot, you won't have wasted much.

I think it could be the wire core...I would take a solid, cheap riboon and kind of wrap that around the core first, somewhat loosely. I can envision what I am describing, but not describing it well. I think it needs some kind of center-filler so that if the ribbon isn't very dense in some spots, the filler ribbon will show and not the wire. They also sell the green foam wreath forms, but you wouldn't be able to get as tight a knot.

I bet the core is one of those wire wreath forms. They have two or three circles of wire together.

Ok, I thought a wire form at first too. But as full as that is, I'm thinking wiring one or two strips of fabric with floral picks and poking them in a straw or foam form.
