Default Need a Lasagna Recipe

I want to make lasagna for dinner guests. I'm actually pretty hopeless when it comes to these things. I have a recipe I've used in the past, but it is extremely work intesive to get the sauce made. (It's Emeril's.) Does anyone have an easy lasagna recipe?

Yes, I know that normal people know how to make lasagna...

I just use jarred sauce and sometimes add a layer of fresh tomatoes to perk it up. If it's meat lasagna I add the meat to the sauce and follow the recipe on the box except I add extra garlic to the ricotta. I use mozzarella and parmesan mixed into the ricotta mixture and then I put extra of both on top. Make sure you put some sauce in the bottom of the pan so it doesn't stick. I think those are my only tips.

This is my lasagna recipie...keep in mind I don't accurately measure anything...

1-2 lbs ground beef (or pork/turkey/whatever)
1 can spaghetti sauce (I use Hunts...it's the cheapest)
1 can mushroom pieces
1 onion
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
9 lasagna noodles (I don't like using the no bake kind. I use the kind you have to boil first)
1 lg container or cottage or ricotta cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 small pkg frozen spinach, defrosted and drained by pressing excess liquid out through a strainer
1/2-3/4 c grated parmesan cheese
2 c grated mozzerella cheese
salt, pepper, seasonings to taste

In large pot boil water, add noodles. Cook until done. Drain and cool. Meanwhile in large skillet brown ground beef, add mushrooms, garlic and onion. Sautée until onion is tender. Add spaghetti sauce, salt pepper and seasoning (I use about 1T of basil). Heat until bubbly
In a med. bowl mix cottage/ricotta cheese, parmesan, 1 c mozz, egg, spinach, salt and pepper to taste.
In a 9x13 casserole layer 3 noodles on bottom of dish, top with 1/2 the meat sauce and then 1/2 the cheese mixture, top with another layer of noodles and repeat. Finish with a last layer of noodles and top with 1 c mozz cheese. Bake at 275 until cheese is melted and lasagna is bubbly. Cool for 15 minutes before cutting and serving. Serve with crusty bread (or garlic bread) and a spinach salad.
