| Lunches and Snacks | | Help Ladies! I am going crazy trying to come up with stuff to eat. I have breakfast covered and always come up with dinner ideas but lunch and snacks have me frustrated. Doesn't help that DD runs right to the refrigerator when we get home for school and starts grabbing stuff before I can make a good lunch.
I am tired of fruit leather, cheese sticks, yogurt and cut up fruit.
What do you make for lunch everyday? |

| Re: Lunches and Snacks | | We are big on soups here. Bubbs is fine with canned soup. We do a lot of wraps too. I let him make them sometimes. Hummus, peanut butter, cream cheese or beans on wraps.
As for snacks, popcorn, yogurt, cereal - dry, chocolate milk, salami (my child's favorite food with mustard). If I think of anything else, I'll let you know. |

| Re: Lunches and Snacks | | I've been on a quesadilla kick here lately...I use whole wheat tortillas and do refried beans or black beans with a little reduced fat cheese and dip it in salsa. You could also buy those grilled chicken strips pre-cooked and add those in along with any veggies you like. It's fast and filling.
For snacks...popcorn, pretzels, carrots, Babybel cheeses, pickles, banana, handful of almonds, dry cereal, Fiber One bars (for me). |

For snack: fruit, fruit, fruit, ff popcorn, yogurt, rice crackers, cheese and pretzels, hummus, flavor cream cheese and crackers, baby carrots and cereal.

| Re: Lunches and Snacks | | Lunches:
Grilled cheese, wraps, pasta with veggies & hot dogs, quesadillas, and Trader Joes Quiche are our staples.

Fruit, fruit, fruit!
Pretzels with hummus, carrots or celery or zucchini with hummus
Laughing Cow on a brown rice cake or cut up veggies
Cheese stick (tho' she only like Monterey Jack cheese sticks!)
Yogurt and frozen yogurt tubes
Veggie Booty - it's back!
Smoothies
Oh, and this week we tested out Soybean Butter, so we can start adding that to the repertoire! |

-poached eggs and soldiers (toast sliced into strips to dip into the egg yolk)
-dried fruits (apple, pear, apricot, plum)
-cottage cheese
-rice cakes spread with cream cheese
-rice crackers with red pepper dip |

| Re: Lunches and Snacks | | We are grilled cheese and apple fans here. The boys like it made open faced like a pizza and put in the broiler. I have to say, it's delicious!!!
Also, we do alot of simple things for lunch-soups, ham/cheese roll ups, veggies and dips, edemame, left overs from dinner...I do easy for lunch and more complicated dinners. |
