Default When to stop using swing?

I forget when we stopped using it with DD. DS is holding himself up pretty well. We always strap him in, but sometimes he flops himself forward. Do you think it's time to get rid of the swing? He's already done with the bouncy seat-tries to roll over every time we put him in it. The swing takes up so much room, but now where do I put him when I have to pee? Time for the pack and play?

I knew it was time to take Molly out when she grabbed the bars on the side and stopped it herself.

Pee by yourself? Well, now, that's decadent!

I stopped with Nathan at 4.5 mos. He was getting so heavy that it wouldn't swing well anymore. I just put him in a laundry basket with a couple towels in it when I'm doing anything in the bathroom ie, fixing my hair, makeup and other bathroom things.

Um, when she's over the weight limit? Which won't be for awhile, b/c she's a peanut. Actually, I have no idea what the weight limit is, but I'm sure she's under it. BB just lays back in hers, I guess if she starts 'exploring' dangerously while in her swing, I'll pack it up.

When did you stop using the bouncy seat? When we move, I am breaking out the jumperoo.

We just stopped using the bouncy because even though it would be hard, I think he's trying to tip it over. I was nervous the whole time he was in it. He is liking the exersaucer. Someone gave it to us-I didn't have one with DD. He also likes the Bumbo. Between the two I can get dinner made most nights. I try not to put him in there until I'm trying to make dinner. I don't have a jumperoo but was thinking about getting one since he does love to jump and bounce. If we hold him and his feet touch the floor he cracks up! So cute!

GET ONE!!!! Both my boys were jumpers and were completely entertained for a long time in it. Nathan is currently shrieking with delight in his. It's been the BEST investment we've made by far.

Our swing is collecting dust right now -- Abigail tells me she's done with it and has been for nearly a month. She just has no tolerance for it.

Our exersaucer is coming out this weekend. It is actually one that walks around - rotating on one stationary leg. Isabella was in it by now, but I have to free up some real estate by getting the swing put away first. We never had a jumparoo, so when Isabella tried it for the first time at 9 months, it just ticked her off! She hated that thing! Maybe if we got one and started it now for Abigail.... Eh, I'm not gonna spend the money unless I see one at consignment.

I did just borrow a Bumbo from our friends. Abigail tolerates that for a few minutes. But mostly, the girl likes laying on her back and playing. Bouncy seats just work for ~5 minutes while I'm cooking....

If Abigail ever goes too long without pooping, put her in the Bumbo. It makes Brooke go every.single.time I put her in it. It should be named the Poopy. I am not even kidding!!

I also got the play tray for the Bumbo, and Brooke likes it a little better now since I can put toys on the tray. That makes them easier for her to reach than if they were on the floor.
