| Re: Discussion: Disneyland Travel Advice | | I LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney World, but have never been to DL. Kim- DH and I went the first week of Feb a few years ago and it was perfect- right between the end of winter break and President's day break so no lines for anything. I think 15 minutes was the longest, but we walked on to most things. Great deals for on site hotels then too. Dh was not looking forward to the trip and it is basically my favorite vacation spot, but he had an absolute ball and can't wait to bring Ben in a couple of years! |

| Re: Discussion: Disneyland Travel Advice | | I just wanted to add that the baby stations at both Disneyland and California Adventure are awesome! I am so sad that next time we go we won't have anyone little enough to use them. They are quiet, stocked with baby supplies, small toilets for toilet learners, highchairs, curtained areas for nursing. Beautiful! And the changing tables at Disneyland are enormous and deep. I want one for home! |

| Re: Discussion: Disneyland Travel Advice | | Kim,
We went to Disney World last year 2nd week in November and is was great. The weather was great It actually got really cold (well for us Floridians anyway) It was all decorated for Christmas, there were no lines at all. Except for the Peter Pan ride. Everything else we walked on in 5 minutes or less. Went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party where in "snowed" during the parade. It was great. I love disney wish it was a little closer so I could take the girls more. I am going next week with my MIL and I think again in January with my parents can't wait! I almost think I love it as much as or more than the girls. |

I really wanted to go in Oct, but that isn't going to work. My sister is going to have those babies late Nov - early Dec, and I really want to be here for that. I am hoping to see it decked out for one holiday. I looove Halloween and I was really hoping to go, but that simply won't work out.
When you say "cold", but kind of temps are you talking? |

| Re: Discussion: Disneyland Travel Advice | | My SIL and I were just talking about a possible Disney trip with our kids in January. Sam will only be 1- will he have any fun, or just have to go with the flow while Addie enjoys herself? Give me the skinny on the experience with a young toddler/older baby. |

Give me the skinny on the experience with a young toddler/older baby. | Spencer made his first trip when he was 3 months old - obviously he didn't get anything out of it then. But his second trip he was 16 months old and LOVED it. He was able to interact with the characters and really enjoyed a lot of the rides. Anna slept through her first trip when she was 4 months old and most of her second trip when she was 7 months old. She was just shy of 12 months for her 3rd trip and she was really starting to have fun. Same as Spencer - she liked the characters, most of the rides, the parades, and the music. |

| Re: Discussion: Disneyland Travel Advice | | Ok, I have another question. Since I want to go before baby comes, will there be a fair number of rides I can go on while pregnant? |

The only thing you can't ride are the roller coasters - Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain, and some of the fair type rides at DCA. I went when I was pg with both kids, and I actually rode Space Mountain whiel pg with Anna (I wasn't very far along then). |

When you say "cold", but kind of temps are you talking? | Our winter's/falls/only non summer months are really random as far as temps go. Some days they will be like 80's and then for like a few days randomly selected in there they will drop to the 60's (and we are talking mid to upper 60's. We will all be in the warmest of warmest clothes and huddled around hot chocolate, but its not that cold if you are used to cold). And then the lows will be like if its 80's then lower 70's to 65, and if the high is 60sish then its like a low of mid 50's and that is stretching it. But like I said, it can be really random. I have a Nov 1st birthday and I remember some years having swim parties and other years being bundled up, but most years I could get away with shortsleaves and then bring a sweater for the night time, and that is from a FLorida girl. |
