What's Happening at StopMomStop

Believe it or not, the recalls project is still not finished. The source material is inconsistent which means that I'm having to go through each recall to ensure that it made it into the database correctly. I think it's important to have historical recall information because a lot of the products that were recalled a long time ago are still out there. So far, I've completed about 130 recall pages, and I have another 130 partially proofread, along with about 400 that I have yet to take a peek at.

The good news is that I have a system for getting it done now, so it's just a matter of slowly churning through them. Once all the historical data is settled, I can turn on the program that hunts for new recalls every day and get them all published in a timely manner.

I've also put together a tagging system that should help to relate pages on the site a little bit more smoothly than the current system, but I'm still working through the kinks.

Since churning through the recalls is a slow process, and the project as a whole has taken quite a bit longer than expected, I'm shifting focus a little bit towards some of the other things that I want to accomplish with the site. It helps to break things up a little bit.

The style sheets have changed slightly and although the changes are relatively suttle, I think it's done a good job of making the pages more readable.

There isn't much else to report. We're working hard at putting this together and I think the site has come a long ways in the last month. It will keep getting better.
